Why Reject Hadiths?

This list probably will not end easily.

1.We are told to not mix truth with falsehood in the religion.

"And do not mix the truth with falsehood or conceal the truth while you know."2:42
What are hadiths made up of? According to sectarians, a mix of falsehood and truth.

2. Allah makes it clear that truth is only from him. The rest coming from humans would have conjecture misleading us.
"And the word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can alter His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing. And if you obey most of those upon the earth, they will mislead you from the way of Allah. They follow not except assumption, and they are not but falsifying." 6:115-116

Now ask yourself what hadiths are.

3. Following hadiths makes Muslims doubter of the Quran.

"[Say], "Then is it other than Allah I should seek as judge while it is He who has revealed to you the Book explained in detail?" And those to whom We [previously] gave the Scripture know that it is sent down from your Lord in truth, so never be among the doubters." 6:114

4. Allah says Quran is detailed. It is sad that sectarian Muslims try to evaluate Quran by keeping hadiths as the benchmark. They ask questions like: Is this and that in the Quran? But we have this and that in hadiths. Truth is that what is not in the Quran is not required of Muslims to do. In fact, it gives us every example we require.

"A Book, are detailed its Verses, a Quran (in) Arabic for a people (who) know",41:3

"There was certainly in their stories a lesson for those of understanding. Never was the Qur'an a narration invented, but a confirmation of what was before it and a detailed explanation of all things and guidance and mercy for a people who believe."12:111

"And We have certainly diversified in this Qur'an for the people from every example; but man has ever been, most of anything, [prone to] dispute". 18:54

5. Thinking that hadiths add details to Quran is like saying hadiths are more advanced and against God's words as shown above.

6. When we support hadiths we look like hypocrites in several ways. Examples:
  • Saying Bible is corrupt because it is written by average men, but then following hadiths which are written by average men also
  • Not being able to follow every instruction found in the hadiths, but having problem with those who follow Quran only
  • Calling sectarian Islam peaceful while accepting the killing of ex muslims, rape, pedophilia, etc.
7. Hadiths have extreme plagiarism.
8. As hinted above, plenty of hadiths are gruesome. No one knows which ones are correct. Now what if we end up following something that actually is completely against Islam? "I didn't know it" is not an excuse Allah will buy from us on day of judgement. He gave us plenty of verses telling us to use our brain and follow only what Allah gave us while rejecting conjecture.

9. Hadiths give false explanations of the Quran verses. 5:33 is a great example. Hadiths say this was a law made to prevent nonMuslims from reverting with bad intention. Upon close inspection, we find that the verse describes everything that the evil people did to prophets and Allah saying that it was them who deserved such punishments. It is not a law at all.

10.  Hadiths insult Allah.

11. Hadiths insult the prophets.

12.  Hadiths insult women.

13. Hadiths are beyond the realm of practical logic. They can't even say what was the last thing the Prophet told Muslims to follow in his last sermon, but they know about his bathroom activities.

14. If you do the math using what the traditionalists say about Bukhari you will be left scratching head. Below is a calculation of it. The result might be inaccurate because these days scholars claim that Bukhari looked at each hadith 27 times.
So lets assume he studied 600,000 isnads in 15 years. Every year he would have looked at in average 600,000/15=40,000 hadiths or isnads.
So every month he would have looked and studied
40,000/12=3,333.333 hadiths or isnads
Every day he would have studied
3,333.33/30=111.111 hadiths or isnads
That means every hour in a 10 hour study time he would have studied
111.11/10=11.11 hadiths or isnads
Each hadith or isnad would have taken him
60/11.11=5.4 minutes !!! source

15. Hadiths seem to have the pure touch of satan. One of the interesting things about it is that the titles of the books do not claim to be Sahih Prophet Muhammad. They always start with the names of those who wrote them. Similarly, the narrations never mention "Muhammad said". Instead they go by "Allah's apostle said". Do you see how Bukhari and friends are not claiming they are from the Prophet named Muhammad? Its like they are opting out of the sin of lying, but they have enough cans of worms opened for the Muslims to commit this sin.

16. Hadiths turn Islam into a pagan religion. Salvation does not come from following a human based on myths created about him.

17. Its always the hadiths dividing Muslims and not the Quran. Shias and Sunnis have their own hadith books.

18. Hadiths are against ecosystem. This is what Mr Bukhari preaches:
Five animals are sinful, so kill them even in Makkah: rat, scorpion, eagle, crow, and a biting dog (Bukhari, Beginning of Creation 2:245).
The Prophet ordered the killing of dogs (Bukhari, Beginning of Creation 2:247)

19. The history of hadiths is full of politics.

20. No way the Persians could have the best interest at heart for the Muslims. They saw a lot. Their temples were replaced by mosques. They could not get certain jobs. Their culture was replaced by Arabization. They were forced to change their religion. Now ask yourself if some hindu priests force you to change your religion from Islam to Hinduism would you truly throw Allah out of your heart? It can take centuries for a country to forget atrocity of the invaders.

21. Hadiths turn Islam into a caricature. Now where should we begin? The hadithers boast about same "report" coming from different narrators and that they were able to remember from whom they heard. That makes the report trustworthy. Okay consider the following hadiths:

Narrated Said bin Abu Al-Hasan: While I was with Ibn 'Abbas a man came and said, "O father of 'Abbas! My sustenance is from my manual profession and I make these pictures." Ibn 'Abbas said, "I will tell you only what I heard from Allah's Apostle (Peace and blessings be upon him). I heard him saying, 'Whoever makes a picture will be punished by Allah till he puts life in it, and he will never be able to put life in it.' "Hearing this, that man heaved a sigh and his face turned pale. Ibn 'Abbas said to him, "What a pity! If you insist on making pictures I advise you to make pictures of trees and any other unanimated objects." [Bukhari 3:428]

Narrated 'A’ishah: I stuffed for the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) a pillow decorated with pictures (of animals) which looked like a Namruqah (i.e. a small cushion). He came and stood among the people with excitement apparent on his face. I said, "O Allah's Apostle! What is wrong?" He said, "What is this pillow?" I said, "I have prepared this pillow for you, so that you may recline on it." He said, "Don't you know that angels do not enter a house wherein there are pictures; and whoever makes a picture will be punished on the Day of Resurrection and will be asked to give life to (what he has created)?" [Bukhari 4:47]

Narrated Abu Talhah: I heard Allah's Apostle (Peace and blessings be upon him) saying; "Angels (of Mercy) do not enter a house wherein there is a dog or a picture of a living creature (a human being or an animal)." [Bukhari 4:448]

Narrated Ibn Abbas: Abu Talhah, a companion of Allah's Apostle (Peace and blessings be upon him) and one of those who fought at Badr together with Allah's Apostle (Peace and blessings be upon him) told me that Allah's Apostle (Peace and blessings be upon him) said. "Angels do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture." He meant the images of creatures that have souls. [Bukhari 5:338]

Narrated Ali ibn Abu Talib: Abul Hayyaj al-Asadi told that Ali ibn Abu Talib said to him: Should I not send you on the same mission as Allah's Messenger (Peace and blessings be upon him) sent me? Do not leave an image without obliterating it, or a high grave without leveling it. This Hadith has been reported by Habib with the same chain of transmitters and he said: (do not leave) a picture without obliterating it. [Muslim]

Narrated Maimunah: One morning Allah's Messenger (Peace and blessings be upon him) was silent with grief. Maimunah said: Allah's Messenger, I find a change in your mood today. Allah's Messenger (Peace and blessings be upon him) said: Gabriel had promised me that he would meet me last night, but he did not meet me. By Allah, he never broke his promises; and Allah's Messenger (Peace and blessings be upon him) spent the day in this sad (mood). Then it occurred to him that there had been a puppy under their cot. He gave an order and it was turned out. He then took some water in his hand and sprinkled it on the place. When it was evening Gabriel met him and he said to him: You promised me that you would meet me the previous night. He said: Yes, but we do not enter a house in which there is a dog or a picture. So the very next morning he commanded the dogs to be killed. He announced that the dog kept for the orchards should also be killed, but he spared the dog used for the protection of extensive fields (or big gardens). [Muslim]

Narrated 'A’ishah: I used to play with the dolls in the presence of the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him), and my girl friends also used to play with me. When Allah's Apostle (Peace and blessings be upon him) used to enter (my dwelling place) they used to hide themselves, but the Prophet (Peace and blessings be upon him) would call them to join and play with me. (The playing with the dolls and similar images is forbidden, but it was allowed for 'A’ishah at that time, as she was a little girl, not yet reached the age of puberty.) (Fatih-al-Bari page 143, Vol.13) [Bukhari 8:151]

Narrated A’ishah: When the Apostle of Allah (Peace and blessings be upon him) arrived after the expedition to Tabuk or Khaybar (the narrator is doubtful), the draught raised an end of a curtain which was hung in front of her store-room, revealing some dolls which belonged to her. He asked: What is this? She replied: My dolls. Among them he saw a horse with wings made of rags, and asked: What is this I see among them? She replied: A horse. He asked: What is this that it has on it? She replied: Two wings. He asked: A horse with two wings? She replied: Have you not heard that Solomon had horses with wings? She said: Thereupon the Apostle of Allah (Peace and blessings be upon him) laughed so heartily that I could see his molar teeth. [Abu Dawud]

Narrated A’ishah: When the Prophet became ill, some of his wives talked about a church which they had seen in Ethiopia and it was called Maria. Um Salma and Um Habibah had been to Ethiopia, and both of them narrated its (the Church's) beauty and the pictures it contained. The Prophet raised his head and said, "Those are the people who, whenever a pious man dies amongst them, make a place of worship at his grave and then they make those pictures in it. Those are the worst creatures in the Sight of Allah." [Sahih Bukhari 2.425]

"On the Day of Resurrection a neck will stretch forth from Hell; it will have two eyes to see, two ears to hear, and a tongue to speak. It will say, "I have been appointed to take care of three types of people: every arrogant tyrant, every person who called on some deity other than Allah and those who made pictures" [At-Tirmidthi stated that this Hadith was Sahih - At-Takhwif Min An-Nar, p.179, See also Jami' al-Usul, 10/518, the editor said its Isnad is Hasan]

As you can see, all these hadiths say that pictures are haram in Islam. They must be true then right? This means that if a dangerous criminal is on the loose Muslims should not try to find him by using his picture. And what about a lost kid? Mommy and daddy should not try to search for him. All these hadiths contradict Quran according to which Prophet Solomon had statues and Allah helped the people of cave who had a dog with them.

22. We are told to judge by Quran
Indeed, We have revealed to you, the Book in truth so you may judge between the people by that which Allah has shown you. And do not be for the deceitful an advocate. 4:105

23. Allah confirms hadith fabrication and has provided punishment for those who buy them.

24. Allah gives example of what happens when multiple books are used next to Quran in the religion.

"And We have certainly presented for the people in this Qur'an from every example - that they might remember. An Arabic Qur'an, without any deviance that they might become righteous. Allah presents an example: a slave owned by quarreling partners and another belonging exclusively to one man - are they equal in comparison? Praise be to Allah ! But most of them do not know." 39:27-29

25. Hadiths take us back to 8th century. In fact, they were collected and enforced to fight modernism. In short, the goal was to remain outdated.

26. Hadiths give greedy men the power to rule and oppress people. You are not supposed to even interpret the verses by yourselves.

27, Hadiths cancel out the objective morality found in the Quran, turning Islam into atheism while allowing people to choose the bad.
